Most of the story will happen before race day: training rows, boat prep, gear decisions, fundraising, marital negotiations, bad weather, good dogs, and the slow march toward Monterey.

We’re a husband-and-wife team preparing to row across the Pacific together in 2027. Ben rowed the Atlantic in 2021 and came home unable to stop talking about ocean rowing. Karyna eventually decided that if the stories were never going to end, she might as well get in the boat.

Now we’re training, learning, fundraising, and preparing to find out what happens when a marriage, a race plan, and a 30-foot ocean rowing boat all meet the open Pacific.
